How to Connect Cricut to Bluetooth on Your Device?

Do All Cricut Machines Have Bluetooth Connectivity?

Not all Cricut machines come with Bluetooth connectivity. There are only two models- Cricut Explore and Cricut Maker, which has built-in Bluetooth. The older Cricut models don't have built-in Bluetooth, and you will be required to purchase a Bluetooth adapter in order to connect your machine.


Which Devices Are Compatible With Cricut Machine?

You will need to select a device to connect to your device via Bluetooth. Also, download Design Space, a software that allows you to create and upload designs to make your projects. Thankfully, your Cricut machine is compatible with Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android. However, each device should have Design Space installed in order to access the Cricut machine.


How to Connect Cricut to Bluetooth?

As previously discussed, only the Explore Air 2 and Cricut Maker machine has built-in Bluetooth. For the Explore and Explore one or older models, you have to purchase a Bluetooth adapter. But, here, we are only going to discuss Explore Air 2 and Maker.


On Windows

  1. Make sure that your Cricut machine (Bluetooth enabled) is placed 10-15 feet away from your system. Both devices should be turned on.

  2. Check your system for Bluetooth features. To do this, open the Device Manager and check for a Bluetooth Radios option. In case your PC doesn't have this, you will have to purchase an artificial Bluetooth to allow your PC to pair with other devices.

  3. Go to the Control Panel and search Devices and Printer. Now, tap on Add a device or Add a Bluetooth device.

  4. Let your system identify your Cricut machine.

  5. After that, choose Bluetooth (or adapter) and double-click on it to launch pairing options.

  6. Choose Enter the device's pairing code and type 0000 into the given field.

  7. Then, tap on Next.

  8. After that, the pairing will be complete.

  9. Lastly, close the box to finish the setup.

You have successfully connected your Cricut to Windows via Bluetooth.

On Mac

  1. Ensure your Cricut machine and Mac have a distance of only 10-15 feet.

  2. Then, check whether your Mac is Bluetooth enabled. To do this, open the System Preferences and find the Bluetooth option.

  3. Now, launch the Bluetooth window. If it's turned off, turn it on by clicking on the button.

  4. Then, choose your Cricut machine from the given list.

  5. After that, click on Pair to connect both of your devices.

  6. Now, type 0000 when a box is prompted, then click Pair.

  7. Finally, you have connected both devices via Bluetooth.

Note: Your system will not show connected until it starts communicating with your Cricut machine while cutting.

On iOS

  1. Make sure your Cricut and iOS devices are only 10-15 feet apart and turned on.

  2. Launch the Settings app.

  3. Then, look for Bluetooth; if it's turned off, turn it on.

  4. From the displayed list of devices, choose Bluetooth (Module).

  5. Now, the iOS device will begin the pairing.

  6. When the prompt appears to enter the code, put 0000 and click Done.

  7. You will see a new window asking your permission to connect Design Space and the iOS device.

  8. After that, click the Allow option to go ahead.

  9. Then, the window will redirect you to the Design Space.

Your iOS has successfully connected to your iOS device via Bluetooth.


On Android

  1. Make sure that your Cricut machine (Bluetooth enabled) is only 10-15 feet far apart from your Android device.

  2. Then, launch Settings from the home screen.

  3. From the left side, click Bluetooth. If Bluetooth is turned off, turn it on.

  4. Once you turn it on, a list of available devices will appear.

  5. You just need to select your Bluetooth name, and then the pairing will begin.

  6. When the window asks for a PIN, enter 0000 or 1234 and click Done.

  7. Once the pairing is done, it can be seen on your Cricut machine under Paired Devices.

  8. Now, you can use your machine for cutting.

Your Android has been successfully connected to Cricut via Bluetooth.
